Welcome

There have always been pioneers, artists formally daring who tried to explore new frontiers, new narrative ways to convey their personal view of the world. One of those pioneers was Segundo de Chomón, a brilliant filmmaker who revolutioned the world of cinema with his never-seen-before techniques and endless imagination. From Animac Magazine we want to pay a small tribute to this wonderful artist whose talent has not always been properly recognized. We also want to thank Anton Giménez for his collaboration, his article and his amazing work at the Filmoteca de Catalunya trying to recover and restore many of Chomón’s works.

This issue is completed with writings from so well-known people as Alfons Moliné, Carolina López, Chris Robinson, Melinda Barlow y Eric Patrick.

And last, but not least, we also want to thank Xavier Romero for his kindness, readiness and sincerity when answering all our questions.

We hope to see you all again next year.
